Job Title: K–5 Program Coordinator
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Position Overview:
The K–5 Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the elementary-age program, ensuring a safe, engaging, and positive environment for youth and staff. This role includes staff management, curriculum planning, administrative responsibilities, and leadership to support high-quality programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Leadership & Management
- Supervise, support, and mentor program staff
- Create and maintain staff schedules
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Program & Curriculum Oversight
- Plan, implement, and oversee engaging K–5 curriculum and activities
- Ensure programming aligns with organizational goals and standards
- Monitor program quality and make improvements as needed
- Administrative Duties
- Complete and maintain required paperwork, including lesson plans, attendance, and reports
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Youth Development & Environment
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all youth
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
- Address behavioral concerns using positive guidance strategies
- Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and leadership
- Collaborate with other coordinators and departments as needed
- Support special events and program initiatives
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-age children (K–5)
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for youth development and creating a positive impact
Work Environment:
This position requires active engagement with youth and staff in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. The coordinator should be energetic, flexible, and committed to maintaining a structured and supportive environment.
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
