Numera is a fast-growing US-based accounting and advisory firm supporting startups, nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and small businesses through our Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice under myStartUp CFO.
We are looking for a hands-on Associate Controller who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-client accounting environment and has strong experience with US GAAP, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
🔹 Compensation: $100K–$110K + 10% Bonus
🔹 Schedule: Monday–Friday | US Business Hours
🔹 Work Type: Fully Remote
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Manage month-end and year-end close processes
✔ Prepare and review financial statements under US GAAP
✔ Oversee GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, billing, and revenue recognition
✔ Review accounting work completed by bookkeepers/accountants
✔ Work directly with multiple startup, nonprofit, and small business clients
✔ Support budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis activities
✔ Maintain accounting accuracy and strengthen internal controls
✔ Utilize QuickBooks Online and/or Xero on a daily basis
What We’re Looking For:
✔ 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
✔ Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
✔ Experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), CPA firms, outsourced accounting, or fractional accounting environments preferred
✔ Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
✔ Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously
✔ Comfortable reviewing accounting operations end-to-end
✔ CPA/CA/CMA preferred
