Job Summary:
The Job Coach provides job coaching and follow-up supports to participants referred through the Developmental Disability Administration (DDA). This role involves extensive support at the job site and in the community, including personal care services, planning vocational activities, and supporting participants to achieve their Individual Plan (IP) goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement the daily operation of the volunteer program while maintaining required staffing ratios.
Monitor and support job club members during activities, breaks, and lunch.
Coordinate arrival and departure for participants using Metro Access and other transportation.
Transport participants as needed in authorized agency vehicles.
Document participants’ progress toward their IP objectives and communicate with the Employment Specialist.
Maintain attendance records for the volunteer program and job club.
Follow all agency, program, and PORI policies and procedures.
Coordinate daily activities with the Employment Marketing Manager and provide feedback on program operations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; foreign equivalency verification required.
At least one year of work experience related to disabilities and case management in rehabilitation.
Experience with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and severe developmental disabilities.
Experience in behavior management, crisis intervention, and problem-solving is a plus.
Skills and
Competencies:
Valid, full local driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook 360, and web browsing.
