Job description
Make a difference in the life of an adult with autism and other developmental disabilities!
Seeking a Job Coach to support developmentally disabled adults in the workforce. In this role you are responsible for providing hands on direct support training, guidance, and direction to program participants.
- Schedule is highly desirable hours, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm (35 Hours Per Week – Full Time)
- Currently have 1 opening in North Salem, NY and 1 in Peekskill, NY.
- Identify strengths, skills and interests of participants, focusing on job readiness and soft skills
- Develop employment opportunities to match the right person with the right job
- Assist with creating resumes and preparing for job interviews
- Accompany applicants to the interview
- Assist with learning the job duties and the work environment
- Provide ongoing assistance through periodic work site visits
- Assist with social interactions on the job
Applicants must be reliable, motivated, and conscientious. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel is required. This position requires traveling through Northern Westchester, Dutchess and Putnam counties.
Experience in a vocation or life skills setting preferred.
Paid vocational training through OPWDD will be provided.

· High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
· Vocational Coaching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
