Role Description The International Volunteer role is a remote, volunteer position supporting The Positive Event CIC’s global sustainability initiatives in the events and festivals sector. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with research and data collection on environmental performance, supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and communication materials, and helping to coordinate outreach with international partners and clients. Volunteers may contribute to customer service and stakeholder engagement activities, such as responding to inquiries, sharing resources, and promoting sustainable practices. Depending on experience, responsibilities can also include basic support for financial tracking, fundraising, or sales-related outreach to help expand the organisation’s impact. The role offers flexibility and opportunities to learn about sustainable event management while contributing to positive environmental and social outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to support research, data interpretation, and basic reporting tasks.
- Effective communication abilities, including clear written and spoken English and professional online communication.
- Foundational understanding of finance or budgeting, or interest in learning basic financial and fundraising processes.
- Experience or interest in customer service and stakeholder support, including responding to inquiries and maintaining positive relationships.
- Interest or experience in sales, outreach, or partnership development in a nonprofit or sustainability-focused context.
- Motivation to contribute to environmental sustainability and ethical event practices across international settings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a diverse, global team.
- Previous volunteering, nonprofit, or events industry experience is beneficial but not required.
