Carver Community Organization a 80-year-old non-profit organization located in Evansville, IN is seeking a full time Intake Specialist.This is a great position for those interested in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or Business Administration. The Intake Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and office support services for families They will be responsible for the registration process for three of Carver services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Process applications, redeterminations, and other paperwork for Daycare, Youth programs, and Senior Programs according to specific timelines; input enrollment information into a data base system and keep information up to date. Prior experience with SmartCare is a plus!
· Maintain up-to-date family and provider records
· Provide technical assistance to families regarding Daycare policies, procedures, and the completion of paperwork.
· Complete the initial assessment for the Family Success Plan to determine if a family qualifies for other resources.
· Provide information, paperwork, tours, and orientation for all prospective enrollees.
· Perform a range of administrative /office support services including correspondence preparation; filing maintenance and retrieval; copying; customer service by phone, email, in person and through paper mail.
· Accounts receivable management, as well as collecting fees, and preparing deposits.
The qualified candidate must have a minimum of an associate degree, a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Excellent writing skills, communication and interpersonal skills, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, highly organized, ability to prioritize, excellent customer service skills, strong ability to work independently, ability to build and support relationships, and work effectively as a team member, proficiency with Microsoft Suite, QuickBooks and data entry experience a plus.
