Tupelo-Lee Humane Society is in search of dependable, self-motivated and compassionate individuals with integrity to join our team! Experience is preferred but not required.
This position is specifically for those who are:
Comfortable with handling animals that include but are not limited to canines and felines.
Energetic, attentive to detail, consistent and dedicated
Proficient with following directions
Task oriented and self-accountable
Punctual and present to work during scheduled days and times
Confident with handling canines and felines of all sizes (both large and small)
Confident with handling potential fractious and/or distressed canines and felines
Comfortable in loud, fast paced environments
Efficient with accurate and adequate record keeping
Customer service friendly
Computer efficient
TEAM SPIRITED
Work consists of:
Hands on handling of animals (primarily canines & felines)
Community public/client interaction and problem solving community pet related issues
Responsible for all animal intake processing, record keeping, and daily animal census reporting.
Client interactions and communication via in person, phone, and email

Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Sit, walk, stand, crouch and bend for long periods on concrete floors for up to 6 hours at a time
Days for scheduling may include weekends and/or holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
