Horton’s Kids operates three Community Resource Centers, each playing a vital role in our mission. At the heart of our operations is Horton’s Kids Community Resource Hub or “Horton’s Hub”, serving as our largest location and headquarters. This multifunctional space serves as both our administrative offices and the central hub for our programming and distribution efforts.
Job Description:Horton’s Kids is seeking a dedicated anddynamicfull-time Institutional Giving Manager to enhance our Development & Communications team. The Institutional Giving Manager plays a crucial role on the Development & Communications team and is responsible for crafting, executing, and managing strategies to secure, retain, and grow funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Manager will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to achieve fundraising targets and contribute to the organization’s mission.
Identify, research, and cultivate prospective donors, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Develop and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports to secure new funding and maintain existing relationships.
Collaborate with the program and finance teams to gather accurate information and ensure that funding requirements are met.
Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
Track and analyze institutional giving trends and metrics to inform strategy and decision-making.
Represent Horton’s Kids at meetings, conferences, and events to build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders.
Maintainup-to-datedonor records in the organization’s database, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Contribute to the development and implementation of overall fundraising strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or related field.
Strong written and verbalcommunication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
Knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector, particularly ineducation, social services, or youth development.
Excellent organizational andproject managementskills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in using donor database software and other relevant tools.

Salary:$75,000 – $85,000 annually, based on experience.
