Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology Executive based in Penang, Malaysia. The Information Technology Executive will oversee IT operations, troubleshoot technical issues, provide technical support to staff, and manage network administration. The role includes:
- Install, configure and maintain all companies’ computer systems and peripherals.
- Diagnose and troubleshooting on server, network, hardware and software issues, including office equipment such as printer and photocopier.
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrade / updates on IT systems to ensure the reliability, performance and security of IT infrastructure as well as manage protection against cybersecurity threats.
- Coordinate and work with IT vendors including managing their deliverable and quality of works in IT areas.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT procedures and best IT practices.
- Establish, maintain and update IT documentation, SOP, IT policy and user manual.
- Involve in any IT project, software & app development.
- Collaborate with MarComm teams to manage website development, content updates, optimize website performance, implement & monitor SEO best practices.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate and/or a relevant field of study with at least 2 years’ working experience in IT.
- Proficient in IT hardware troubleshooting within computer and network environment.
- Experience in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Apps, SharePoint, Power Automate,
- Programming Language and handling POS system would be advantageous.
- Deep knowledge of SEO best practices, website analytics tools and website security.
- Able to work independently and with good self-initiative.
- Good Interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and analytical skills with excellent time management.
