Position: IAC Aventura & North Miami Community Engagement & Events Manager

The mission of the Israeli-American Council (IAC) is to build an engaged and united Israeli-American community that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of our next generation, the American Jewish community, and the bond between the peoples of the United States and the state of Israel.

Job

Purpose

The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) will work to expand IAC’s community impact and strategic investments in their region. The CEM will be responsible for organizing and managing programs & events, representing the organization, and increasing IAC’s awareness in that region. They will recruit, maintain connections with participants, and manage operational aspects of the Eitanim program. This is a 15-hour per week position reporting to the Regional Director.

Duties

Include But Are Not Limited To

Understand the target audience in the area, reach out to new communities, and connect with local representatives.

Oversee and lead development, marketing, promotion, and delivery of programs and community events.

Build and maintain an active community; serve as a contact for community leaders.

Develop strategies to recruit participants for programs.

Plan, coordinate, and manage community events professionally.

Update the regional community about upcoming events and activities.

Ensure all events and programs are properly branded according to IAC standards.

Manage partnerships with external entities as established by the Regional Director.

Handle issues related to ongoing program operations and communicate with participants, including parents when applicable.

Create and initiate group events across multiple locations in the region.

Coordinate cross-program events and collaborate with other organizations in the region.

Engage with community supporters on social platforms daily to listen, learn, and participate in conversations.

Manage the regional calendar, including program events, non-IAC events, and other region-specific activities. Maintain data on volunteers, members, contacts, and market metrics.

Represent IAC within communities, cultivating relationships and attending meetings to increase awareness.

Establish and support a volunteer system to ensure an active and engaged volunteer base.

Develop relationships with Israeli-American Jewish organizations to share programs and resources.

Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and national conferences.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities, with knowledge of their cultures, conflicts, and history.

Proven social skills and experience in community building.

Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for regional activities and seminars.

Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social networking tools.

Highly organized and efficient.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong operational and administrative abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

Fluent in English and Hebrew, both spoken and written.

Full-time employees working over 20 hours per week are eligible for insurance benefits after the waiting period.
