Summary
The Humanitarian Relief Program Coordinator is responsible for delivering the agency’s humanitarian relief services to newcomers, including refugees, SIV holders, immigrants, and people experiencing homelessness, among other vulnerable populations. Responsibilities include providing or coordinating services such as shelter referrals, food assistance, hygiene services, educational support, legal referrals, housing, transportation, and trauma-informed case management. The role requires overseeing equipment and vehicle utilization, working non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, and at remote sites.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Position Details
Work Hours:
8:30 a.m.
– 5:00 p.m., on call evenings and weekends
Workdays:
Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
Deliver services, maintain data, ensure compliance, and respond to humanitarian crises.
Manage donations, build capacity, and track expenses.
Provide updates, represent Catholic Charities in response efforts, and ensure safety protocols.
Maintain client records, report monthly, and attend site visits.
Complete professional development and adhere to personnel policies.
Protect confidentiality and uphold the organization’s code of conduct.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred; 1+ year experience in humanitarian or emergency services preferred.
Minimum age 21, valid driver license, reliable transportation, bilingual in English/Spanish.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, crisis management, and experience working with diverse populations.
Physical ability to lift 25 lbs. and drive response vehicles.
Additional Information
