Job Summary
The Trafficking Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating efforts to combat human trafficking within the community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about social justice and has a strong background in program development and project management. The Trafficking Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups, to implement effective strategies for prevention, awareness, and support for victims.
Duties
· Meet immediate emergency housing, safety-planning, food, and transport needs.
· Work with survivors on individualized plans to identify strengths, resources, barriers, and to connect survivors with these community resources such as health, mental health, substance, abuse, housing, legal and employment services.
· Serve as a liaison between local service providers, organizations, and the professional community.
· Strengthen community partnerships and maximize the resources available to serve survivors of human trafficking.
· Full understanding that service priorities will be determined by the client themselves even when a client decides to change priorities.
· Provides parenting support and options to parents and adult care takers.
· Provide afterhours crisis intervention.
· Participate in training to improve direct service skills.
· Stay up to date on statistical data to provide the Buffet Foundation with accurate information.
· Correctly document interactions with clients.
· Document community outreach efforts.
· Attend Task Force meetings regularly.
Qualifications
Proven experience in project management, preferably in a non-profit or social service setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in public speaking.
Background in social work is highly desirable.
Experience in fundraising activities is a plus.
Passion for social justice issues, particularly related to human trafficking.
