Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager leads the day-to-day Human Resources function and serves as a strategic partner to organizational leadership, aligning people practices and workforce priorities with organizational goals. This position supports workforce needs, employee relations, compliance, and effective HR operations while developing and implementing HR strategies that foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

The successful candidate will balance strategic planning with operational excellence and will be comfortable leading organizational change, coaching leaders, improving systems, and developing HR best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic HR leadership aligned with organizational goals, business needs, and long-term workforce priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational development, employee relations, and talent management.
  • Build a high-performing HR organization.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and provide guidance on complex personnel matters.
  • Manage organizational training and leadership development initiatives.
  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee HR systems, records, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with department leaders to build a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
  • Support organizational growth, change management initiatives, and succession planning.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with organizational leadership and supporting business and workforce strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining sound judgment and professionalism.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Active involvement with SHRM or another professional Human Resources organization.
  • Experience leading HR within manufacturing, nonprofit, government contracting, or other complex, multi-division organizations.

· Experience utilizing HR technology, reporting tools, and other business systems to support efficient HR operations and data-driven decision-making.
