Primary Role:

The Human Resources Manager oversees all of HomewardBound of the Grand Valley’s HR related functions including managing employee relations, payroll, benefits, policy implementation/changes, and more!

Requirements:

Strong administrative and communication-oriented skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Understanding of office management procedures.
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources.
Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/processing payroll.
Proficient with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, & Google Workspace.
Robust ability to problem-solve in an efficient manner.
Excellent organizational skills and possesses the ability to multi-task in a high-quality manner.

Responsibilities:

Manage employee relations and conduct comprehensive investigations when necessary.
Process payroll and properly oversee the compensation budget.
Ensure operations adhere to internal policies and regulations.
Oversee all recruitment related needs and assist with onboarding.
Manage all employee benefits pertaining to healthcare, retirement, paid time off, etc.
Construct job descriptions and various policy-related documents when necessary.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and other federal, state, or local regulations.
Process unemployment claims and oversee workers’ compensation insurance, employment verifications, and more.
Maintain accurate employee records.
Collaborate closely with the Chief Admin & Operating Officer and the Chief Executive Officer on policy decisions pertaining to risk management.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
This position may require bending, stooping, and reaching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,485.00 per year
