A nonprofit organization in NYC is seeking a temp-to-perm HR Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of human resources experience, with a strong focus on onboarding processes and data entry.

Fully onsite Monday – Friday

Hours: 9am-5pm

Pay: $23-25/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR operational support focusing on onboarding and compliance tasks for new hires
  • Ensure accurate processing of offer letters, payroll setups, and compliance documentation
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits programs and agency policies promptly
  • Coordinate with outsourced benefits administrators for enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Oversee time and attendance systems, implementing paid time off policies and tracking efficiencies
  • Provide backup support for security background functions and other HR compliance tasks
  • Contribute to ad hoc HR-related projects and initiatives as requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct HR experience
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential
  • Proven ability to manage customer service requests professionally and accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other HR database systems
  • Experience in independently implementing and enhancing operational processes
  • Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
