Our Human Resources team is seeking a seasoned HR professional with experience in internal investigations and employee relations!
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting our nonprofit’s mission by leading and assisting with internal employee investigations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and adherence to policy. This role also contributes to broader employee relations efforts and helps foster a positive workplace culture aligned with MHA’s values.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and assist with internal investigations related to employee complaints, including harassment, misconduct, and policy violations
Interview involved parties, document findings, and ensure a fair, thorough, and timely process
Maintain confidentiality and uphold compliance with all applicable laws and organizational policies
Partner with the HR team to resolve employee relations issues and promote constructive communication
Assist with policy development and training initiatives focused on compliance, ethics, and workplace behavior
Support other HR projects, such as timecard audits or compliance reviews, as needed
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, employee relations, or compliance, with direct involvement in workplace investigations
Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred
Solid understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and investigative procedures
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues tactfully
High level of discretion and professionalism
