We are seeking an organized, efficient, and proactive professional to support our Human Resources department with HR operations, compliance and policy administration. In support of our values, we are seeking a part-time HR Assistant who is highly organized and can provide proactive administrative support to ensure efficiency in support of organizational goals and has the ability to navigate situations with discretion.
Essential Functions:
File Administration & Record-Keeping
Organize and maintain employee physical and electronic files, ensuring compliance with legal and YMCA policies.
Manage digital and physical HR records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Assist in periodic file audits ensuring thorough, consistent, and up-to-date documentation.
HR Processes & Employee Support
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and exit documentation.
Assist employees with HR-related inquiries, directing them to appropriate resources.
Provide administrative support for performance evaluations, background checks, and compliance tracking.
Recruitment & Job Posting Management
Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms.
Coordinate applicant tracking and screening processes as needed.
Represent the YMCA at job fairs and recruitment events to promote employment opportunities.
Payroll & Benefits Support
Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Assist in managing employee benefits, including health, dental, and retirement plans.
Support retiree benefits administration and respond to related inquiries.
Other Duties
Perform additional tasks assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (Paycom preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
