About the Role:
We are seeking a Housing Support Officer to join a temporary accommodation service in Coventry on an ongoing temporary contract (minimum 3 months). This role focuses on providing housing-related support to homeless individuals, helping them move towards stable accommodation and independence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Housing Support & Tenancy Management – Assist residents in understanding their rights, responsibilities, and sustaining their accommodation.
* Move-On Support – Help service users transition from temporary accommodation to permanent housing.
* Welfare & Benefits Advice – Support residents in applying for Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, and discretionary payments.
* Multi-Agency Working – Liaise with housing officers, social services, and support agencies to coordinate care and housing solutions.
* Safeguarding & Wellbeing – Identify risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring appropriate safeguarding interventions are in place.
* Arrears & Financial Management – Advise residents on rent payments, arrears

, and financial budgeting.
* Case Management & Support Plans – Develop and maintain individual support plans, tracking progress and identifying further needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in housing support, homelessness services, or supported accommodation.
* Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation, benefits system, and housing rights.
* Ability to engage with vulnerable individuals and support them towards independence.
* Experience in multi-agency working, safeguarding, and
risk assessment
