BINA Farm Center is a non profit that brings together individuals with and without special needs by offering a variety of inclusive enrichment programs that help them to both thrive personally and make their best contribution towards the communities in which they live. BINA provides a comprehensive therapeutic and recreational environment utilizing Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies, Vocational Training Programs and Creative and Complementary Therapies for children and adults with physical, developmental and emotional challenges.
BINA Farm is looking for a part-time/full-time addition to our Barn Equine Care Team to help with the general care and maintenance of a herd of 16 hard working therapy horses. Ideally looking for a candidate who wants to grow and be mentored for additional responsibilities as the organization and other team members grow as well.
Must have previous equine experience and be able to work some weekends. Professional Development offered for those interested in become therapeutic riding instructors. We also have a reimbursement program for those who want to become PATH certified.
Duties include but are not limited to:
All aspects of barn/equine care as qualified
Feeding hay and grain
Turning horses in and out
Cleaning stalls
Picking paddocks
Filling/cleaning water buckets
Oversee the cleanliness of the Community Room
Assisting with basic facility maintenance and repairs
Keeping an eye on the general well being of the horses
Exercise and/or riding horses if approved by Trainers
Any additional chores that the Barn Supervisor may need help with
Some night checks if needed
May be an opportunity to assist with Therapy and Recreational Riding lessons
We will be doing a background check on any Candidate we hire.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
