What is the Hoarding Intervention and Treatment Program?
Catholic Charities’ Hoarding intervention and Treatment Program is the only program of its kind in the nation. Offering a comprehensive, holistic approach is to help individuals who have indicators of hoarding disorder to create safe and stable housing. By working along the side of our clients, we help them address the many barriers that come with the disorder.
This innovative program provides long-term support by combining case management, in-home coaching, therapy, and community collaboration to improve clients’ lives. We empower individuals to regain control of their living spaces and enhance their quality of life.
In this role, you will:
- Work in collaboration with Hoarding Case Managers and Therapists to develop individualized care plans for each client.
- Work one-on-one in the client’s home, assist with de-cluttering, housekeeping, organizing belongings, and other support in line with the care plan.
- Provide quality, supportive, and passionate care to clients struggling with hoarding disorder
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
- At least six months of experience in a social service or health care setting required; 2+years preferred
- Prior experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, or people with cognitive, physical, or mental health challenges
- Willing to travel 90% of time. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance (liability coverage: $100,000/person and $300,000 accident)
Salary Range: 45,000-47,000
