JOB SUMMARY
The Community & Entrepreneur Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary external-facing representative of Saint Louis Universitys Habitat for Neighborhood Business (SLU-HNB). This role is responsible for building trust within under-resourced neighborhoods, engaging aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, developing partnerships, and ensuring that entrepreneurs feel supported, heard, and well-served throughout their participation in SLU-HNB programs.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Advances SLU-HNBs mission by actively engaging in under-resourced neighborhoods and strengthening community relationships
- Conducts outreach to identify aspiring and existing entrepreneurs for participation in SLU-HNB programs
- Serves as the primary point of contact for SLU-HNB entrepreneurs, ensuring consistent communication and engagement
- Regularly verifies and documents entrepreneur satisfaction, expectations, and program impact
- Supports entrepreneur onboarding and assessment in collaboration with the Operations & Program Coordination Manager
- Maintains a visible presence in the community and at events to strengthen trust and awareness of SLU-HNB
- Recruits, engages, and retains volunteer
- Attends evening and weekend community meetings and events as required
- Represents HNB in meetings, presentations, and speaking engagements
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Experience in community engagement, outreach, or small business support
- Networking and partnership-building skills, particularly with entrepreneurs and non-profits
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal team members
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree
- Marketing, fundraising, or public relations experience
- Experience working with Universities
