Job Summary:

Ektefaa is seeking a strategic and visionary Head of Programs and Research to lead the organization’s social research efforts and oversee the design and implementation of evidence-based initiatives. This role is critical in informing public policy, guiding impactful interventions, and strengthening the nonprofit ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead the design and execution of research studies, including needs assessments, impact evaluations, and policy-relevant research.

·       Oversee the development and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) community programs and initiatives in partnership with private sector entities.

·       Supervise and mentor the research and program teams, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to ethical standards.

·       Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, private sector partners, and non-profit organizations to advance shared goals.

·       Contribute to strategic and programmatic planning, including the development of operational plans, performance indicators, and budgets.

·       Ensure alignment of all programs and initiatives with Ektefaa’s mission, values, and evidence-based approach.

Candidate Criteria:

Education & Experience:

·       A Master’s or PhD degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Public Health, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field is required.

·       The degree must be obtained from an academic institution outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

·       5–7 years of experience in applied research, with a proven track record of leading large-scale studies, publishing research articles, policy briefs, and technical reports.

·       Demonstrated experience in designing programs and evaluating their social impact using established methodologies.

·       At least one year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with responsibility for team development, planning, and delivery.

Skills & Competencies:

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.

·       Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally to represent Ektefaa at conferences, stakeholder meetings, and partnership engagements.

·       Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.

·       Strong project management capabilities, including cross-functional team coordination; PMP or similar certification is preferred.

·       Experience with implementing impact measurement frameworks such as SROI or ROI; relevant certification is an asset.
