Head of Philanthropy (maternity cover) UK Youth
Lead the successful, multi-million-pound team at UK Youth – including an established trusts and statutory portfolio, and a developing philanthropy programme.

About
the role.
This 12-month maternity cover role will lead a highly successful £9m+ team with an extremely established trusts and grants programme, a developed statutory funding portfolio, and a developing high-net-worth individual fundraising programme.
The role will:
Manage, lead, inspire and motivate a team of three experienced fundraisers, ensuring income targets are achieved and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Lead the development of compelling funding proposals to secure 6- and 7-figure grants from key trusts and foundations.
Oversee funder relationship management for ultra-high-value relationships.
Oversee applications and pitches to government and statutory funders.
Oversee the development of the high-net-worth individual fundraising strategy, ensuring a personalised stewardship approach to build long-term relationships, leading to the securing of transformational gifts.
Ensure young people’s voice is at the heart of all activity.
Who we are looking for.
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrable success in securing 6- and 7-figure income from trusts, statutory sources and/or HWNIs.
Proven experience managing and growing high-value funder relationships.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams to deliver against ambitious targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive funding proposals and pitches.
Strategic thinker with the ability to identify new opportunities and adapt to changing priorities.
Target-driven with a collaborative and proactive approach.
