Job Description: Habitat ReStore Director
Full time, Exempt position
40-45 hours per week
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary: The Habitat ReStore Director oversees the operations and success of two ReStore locations: one in Kingsport TN (750 E Main St), and one in Johnson City TN (3201 Kimberly Court). The Director is responsible for developing the store budgets, strategizing for consistent store success and growth, management of employees across both locations, and ensuring that the donor and customer experience is seamless and positive. Further, the success of the ReStores and the Director ensures that Holston Habitat for Humanity meets its mission of building more homes, communities, and hope in the East TN and SWVA region.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years’ successful experience in retail, non-profit management, or customer service;
High school and bachelor’s degree is required;
Ability to multi-task and problem solve;
Excellent communication skills;
Desire to serve in a leadership capacity with staff, volunteers, and customers;
Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and familiarity with POS systems;
Commitment to the mission and principles of Habitat for Humanity;
Willingness to work Saturdays (schedule is Tues-Sat);
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs;
Must pass criminal background and sex offender checks, as well as drug test.
Responsibilities:
· Recruits, trains and develops volunteer and paid staff who will provide quality customer service; safe, financially responsible operations; and the ability to communicate Holston Habitat’s mission;
· Ensures receipt of sufficient donations to meet sales goals, performance metrics, and operational profitability as set by Holston Habitat leadership;
· Develops long-term relationships in the community to secure donations and raise awareness of the ReStores mission and community impact, working both independently and with Holston Habitat’s Director of Development;
· Manages ReStore assets to ensure compliance with safety, insurance and governmental requirements;
-Is a consistent presence at both Habitat ReStores throughout the week, while also spending approximately 4-8 hours weekly on strategy and strengthening donor and partner relationships;
· Participates in developing and implementing public relations activities with Holston Habitat’s Marketing Manager that promote the ReStores mission for donations, volunteers and sales;
· Develops the annual budget for both stores, including in-store revenue projections as well as eBay sales, followed by expense projections and necessary capital investments;
· Provides accurate reports on ReStore vehicles, sales, transactions, deposits, accounting and staffing;
· Regularly analyzes sales per square foot to determine merchandising strategy (and what donations to pursue more heavily based on what sells well), and to pursue additional “purchased product” to sell at a profit;
-Attend staff meetings at the Holston Habitat office 2x/month, engaging with program staff at Holston Habitat and reporting to the Executive Director regularly with store updates;

Pay will be discussed during the interview and is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
