Job Description
The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation.
The Chaldean Community Foundation is seeking a full-time GSRP Aide to support classroom instruction in a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) preschool classroom. Working alongside the GSRP Lead Teacher, the Aide will help implement developmentally appropriate curriculum, foster a positive and engaging learning environment, and support children’s school readiness. The ideal candidate will have experience as an instructor or classroom aide in early childhood education and will be fluent in English, and Arabic or Chaldean/Aramaic.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Assist the GSRP Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with GSRP and State of Michigan early childhood standards.
· Support daily classroom instruction focused on literacy, math, STEM, social-emotional development, music, art, and other core early childhood subjects.
· Assist children in the program to foster a positive, safe, and interactive learning environment.
· Provide Arabic or Chaldean/Aramaic translation services for children, families, and the Lead Teacher as needed.
· Assist with ongoing child assessments and help maintain accurate documentation, including attendance and assessment records.
· Help maintain and update classroom materials and curriculum to reflect relevant academic changes and GSRP standards.
· Support family engagement by promoting family interactions centered on learning and literacy.
· Assist with classroom preparation before class and cleanup following class.
· Collaborate with the Lead Teacher, support staff, and GSRP team members to ensure program quality and compliance.
· Participate in required GSRP meetings, professional development, and coaching sessions.
· Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, GSRP implementation guidelines, and program requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
· Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a valid Center-Based Preschool CDA credential required.
· Fluency in Arabic or Chaldean/Aramaic required.
· 2-3 years of experience instructing or aiding in instruction in an early childhood classroom environment.
· Experience with GSRP, HighScope, or similar early childhood curriculum and assessment tools preferred.
· Knowledge of basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, walk, sit, and actively engage with young children for extended periods.
· Ability to bend, kneel, and adjust physically to interact with children at their level.
· Ability to navigate all areas of the classroom and facility quickly, including indoor and outdoor areas.
· Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds as needed.
· Ability to operate classroom and office equipment.
