Ideal candidates will be dynamic visual storytellers that are capable of training, instructing, and inspiring young creative minds, ages 16 to 24, that have historically been underrepresented. You must have at least 5 years of creative experience, and a minimum of 1 year either teaching or training. Our training programs combine both instructional and hands-on studio time in our state-of-the-art computer lab, with access to industry standard equipment. Participants should complete class with a functional understanding of graphic design, and a creative portfolio consisting of student work and a capstone project developed under candidate’s mentorship. This is a project-based opportunity with the student portfolios and curriculum template as deliverables. YDC is an equal opportunity employer. ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed curriculum for a 12-week graphic design studioProvide 5 to 10 hours of weekly instruction to the graphic design cohortWork closely with the Program Manager to ensure successful outcomes for participantsEnsure creative projects are running on-time and adhering to the scope of workCommunicate project status, milestones, and tasks to creative team members and stakeholdersInterface with current and prospective clients, with professionalism and tactManage personnel and resource needs for projectsMaintain YDC lab and equipment in an organized and professional mannerQualificationsAt least 6 months experience working in an agency environment.Demonstrated success in project management, coordination, and communication.Experience with project management and scheduling platforms (Asana, Homebase, etc).Proficiency with digital devices using both Apple OS, Microsoft, and Google Suites.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud suite preferred.
