Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grants Manager to oversee the development and management of grant proposals and contracts. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding for our programs through effective proposal writing, strategic planning, and contract management. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Duties
Research and identify viable foundation, trust, corporate, and other institutional prospects to fund the organization’s operations and programs.
Research audience, needed facts, background information, and other required data for proposal development.
Develop, write, and edit grant proposals to secure funding from various sources.
Manage the entire grant lifecycle, including contract management and compliance with funding requirements.
Conduct strategic planning to align grant opportunities with organizational goals.
Collaborate with program development teams to identify funding needs and create compelling proposals.
Proofread and review all grant-related documents for accuracy and clarity.
Maintain a comprehensive database of grants.
Monitor grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
Build relationships with funders and stakeholders to enhance future funding opportunities.
Actively engage with all events, including food drives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
5 years or more of related experience
Proven experience in grant proposal writing and editing, with a strong portfolio of successful grants.
Familiarity with contract management processes and compliance requirements.
Strong strategic planning skills to align funding opportunities with organizational objectives.
Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
Experience in program development within a nonprofit or similar environment is preferred.
Proficiency in Raiser Edge, NetSuite, or similar grant management software is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
