The Grants and Data Associate assists with writing grant proposals, letters and memorandums of understanding, and other narratives to help secure funding for the Tulsa Day Center (TDC) and Hudson Villas (HV). Working under TDC’s grant administration, this role also helps track and monitor organizational statistics, generate reports, and provide necessary data for administration, donors, and other stakeholders.Â
Responsibilities
Assist in researching and identifying new funding opportunities.
Assist in writing and submitting grant proposals, reports, and other funding requests.
Assist in gathering information necessary for grant reporting and donor communications.
Track, monitor, and maintain organizational statistics for grant reporting and internal use.
Assist in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in reporting systems.
Provide support in preparing required reports for administration, funders, and community partners.
Learn and utilize fundraising and data software used by the organization.
Assist in maintaining compliance with grant and funding requirements.
Study and understand TDC and HV programs to effectively communicate funding needs.
Support TDC’s grant administration in organizing and maintaining grant records.
Participate in personal development to stay informed on best practices in grants, data management, and nonprofit funding.
Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate organizations, groups, and individuals, including foundations, corporations, major donors, and Tulsa Area United Way, as part of an overall cultivation plan.
Assist with fundraising projects and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.
At least two years of experience in a professional work setting with demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication as well as computer skills preferred.
Excellent Word and Excel skills, as well as other relevant communication and information skills.
Strong research skills, knowledge of information sources, and ability to understand funding requirements.
Ability to study and interpret organizational financial documents (budgets, 990s, audits, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure contextual data accuracy.
Proven communication skills, productivity, initiative, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects, plan, and meet deadlines.
Ability to relate to others in a non-judgmental, supportive fashion.
Display a positive attitude, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity.
Demonstrate initiative and work as a team player.
Focus on getting maximum results for both TDC and HV.
