Job Summary:
Thriving Successfully is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Grant Writer to research, develop, and submit compelling grant proposals that secure funding for public health initiatives, research projects, and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, fundraising strategies, and public health or healthcare-related grant applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, and private funding sources.
Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, reports, and supporting documents.
Collaborate with program managers, researchers, and leadership to gather relevant data and insights for proposals.
Develop compelling narratives that align with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
Maintain a comprehensive grant calendar, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with reporting requirements.
Track and analyze grant funding trends to optimize proposal strategies.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for grant applications.
Ensure all grant proposals meet funder requirements, including formatting, eligibility criteria, and necessary documentation.
Support post-award grant management, including compliance reporting and impact assessment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, preferably in public health or healthcare.
Proven success in securing grant funding from government agencies, foundations, and private donors.
Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of public health, healthcare policy, or nonprofit funding landscapes.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in grant management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and research databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with private or federal grants (e.g., NIH, CDC, HRSA) and foundation funding.
Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting for grants.
Familiarity with public health equity and social determinants of health.
