Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to join our team and help secure funding through federal, state, and city grants, as well as government contracts and private funding opportunities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in grant writing, specifically for nonprofits and disadvantaged business opportunities, and is passionate about advocating for underserved communities.
Responsibilities
Research and identify federal, state, and city grant opportunities, as well as government contracts and private funding sources that align with New Purpose House’s mission.
Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports.
Develop funding strategies and maintain a pipeline of potential grant opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all grant guidelines and reporting requirements.
Cultivate relationships with funding agencies, government entities, and corporate sponsors.
Track and manage deadlines, funding renewals, and post-award reporting.
Qualifications
Proven experience in writing and securing grants and contracts at the federal, state, and city levels for nonprofit organizations.
Strong understanding of government funding processes, private foundations, and corporate grants.
Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
Experience with grant databases, funding portals, and CRM tools is a plus.
