About The Role
AsGrant Proposal & Stewardship Manager, you’ll be a key driver of our philanthropic success. With a 500% increase in grant funding over the past five years, we’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented professional to help us sustain and grow this momentum.
You’ll manage the full grant lifecycle—from identifying prospects and writing compelling proposals to reporting outcomes and stewarding funder relationships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is passionate about connecting funders with meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
Craft approximately 100 persuasive grant proposals, letters of intent, and reports aligned with JA’s mission and funder priorities annually
Collaborate with program and finance teams to define goals, outcomes, and budgets
Maintain a comprehensive grant calendar and integrate it into organizational systems
Identify and research new funding opportunities
Build and nurture relationships with corporate and foundation partners
Support key events and donor engagements in the Southeast Region
Track grant performance and ensure compliance with funder expectations
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Journalism, Social Work, or related field
Minimum 5 years of grant writing and management experience
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Work Environment
This is a
hybrid role
, requiring a minimum of
3 days onsite per week
, once successfully trained. You’ll also attend off-site meetings and events, occasionally outside of standard business hours.
