Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is seeking a Grant & Fiscal Specialist who is detail-oriented, mission-driven, and passionate about supporting children and families. This role provides grant management, fiscal oversight, and administrative support to our organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment and has experience in nonprofit operations, bookkeeping, and grant compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Management & Compliance (50%)

Research, prepare, and apply for grants from federal, state, local, and private funding sources.

Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements and proper use of funds.

Prepare and submit grant applications, reports, and reimbursement invoices (e.g., VOCA, PSSF, ARPA, Fulton County).

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local grant policies and ensure full expenditure of funds to avoid deobligation.

Reconcile grant funds with payroll and operational expenses.

Fiscal Oversight & Accounting (30%)

Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and oversee receipt tracking.

Provide monthly financial reports to leadership and external accountants.

Manage expense tracking, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Assist with year-end audits and annual financial reviews.

Administrative & HR Support (20%)

Support donor platforms by processing online donations and generating reports.

Initiate background checks, onboard new hires, and maintain personnel files.

Oversee payroll processing, office supplies, and technology inventory.

Assist with volunteer recruitment and training initiatives.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in nonprofit administration, grant writing, or bookkeeping.

Demonstrated success in securing grant funding and managing compliance.

Proficiency with Quick Books, CRM systems, and payroll processing.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local grant compliance (VOCA, PSSF, ARPA preferred).

Financial management and budgeting skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Passion for child advocacy and nonprofit work.
