Position: 109 Girls(Re)Build Summit
The 2025 Girls Build Summit marks 10 years of our mission to empower young female-identifying youth to become leaders and inspire change. Since starting in 2014 as an initiative of the LA Promise Fund, Girls Build has quickly established itself as one of the most impactful female youth initiatives of our time.
The Girls Build Summit is an interactive experience designed to ENGAGE, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER over 5,000 girls of color from middle schools and high schools nationwide. We bring girls together with today’s most powerful leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, and change-makers to tackle the critical issues that shape the lives of our girls and our communities.

Our mission is to improve academic achievement as well as college and career access and success for students in the Westbrook Academy, the South Los Angeles Transmit Empowerment Zone (SLATE-Z) and Southeast cities, and beyond. Description
At LA Promise Fund, we believe that every young person deserves a fair chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. Partnering with schools, community organizations, and businesses, we work to provide youth from marginalized communities with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to be successful in college, career, and life.
We are currently looking for volunteers who align with our beliefs and mission and want to get involved with our programs. Together, we can make a significant impact on the southeast & south LA communities.
We offer several volunteer opportunities if interested: mentoring, food pantry distribution, tutoring, career education, and college access opportunities.
