The Gifts Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors and prospects to secure gifts that support the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate is passionate about relationship-building, has strong communication skills, and is committed to meeting fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects.
Develop and implement personalized strategies for donor cultivation and solicitation.
Conduct donor meetings (in-person, virtual, or phone) to build relationships and secure funding.
Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and impact reports for donors.
Collaborate with the development and communications teams to align messaging and campaigns.
Maintain accurate donor records and activities in the donor management system (e.g., CRM).
Attend fundraising events, campaigns, and networking opportunities as needed.
Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals and metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
Proven track record of securing individual gifts and building donor relationships.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently.
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65,955.00 – $79,420.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
