Project Help founded in 1986 is Collier County’s only state-certified rape recovery and victim services center. Project HELP works with dignity and compassion to ease the pain of those affected by rape, violence, crime or loss of a loved one due to a crime. All services are free and confidential.
Services include:
· Immediate response to sexual assault and crime victims
· Forensic exams for sexual assault victims
· Follow-up services for sexual assault victims including human trafficking and child abuse victims
· Sudden death notification
· Criminal & civil justice advocacy
· Accompaniment to criminal court proceedings
· Grief counseling for survivors of traumatic loss
· Individual and group therapy services for all victims of crime
· Guidance through the criminal/civil judicial systems
· Referral for funds and services available to victims
· Coordination for additional services such as temporary
housing, medical care, clothing and job assistance
Project HELP, Collier County’s Certified Rape Recovery and Victim Service Center is looking for an empathetic and empowering Fundraising & Volunteer Coordinator Advocate/Counselor. The Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our organization’s financial sustainability and volunteer engagement efforts. This position involves planning and executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor relations, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and organizing events. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for Project HELP, Inc. Candidates must also be willing to complete a company sponsored 40-hour Victim Service Practitioner Course that may only be offered out of town. Training to work with and respond to sexual assault, human trafficking and other victims of crime will be provided upon hire.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The applicant preferably would have a general knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Accurate typing skills mandatory, 35 wpm.
Self-starter, organized, computer skills (word, excel, power point, publisher) a must

Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising:
Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet financial goals.
Plan and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives aimed at increasing donor participation and financial contributions.
Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community outreach initiatives.
Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and on-site operations.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, including individuals, businesses, and foundations.
Monitor and analyze fundraising campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve fundraising goals and provide regular reports to management.
Manage donor databases and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping of donations and communications.
Collaborate and develop the marketing material with compelling content for campaigns, including newsletters, social media, and direct mail.
Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, train, and retain volunteers to support various programs and events including: the agency’s 24/7 Crisis Helpline, fundraising committee, tabling events, presentations, office & administrative volunteers
Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies, including outreach efforts and partnerships with community organizations.
Create and maintain a volunteer database, ensuring accurate records of volunteer hours and contributions.
Organize volunteer orientation sessions and ongoing training to ensure effective and engaging volunteer experiences.
Coordinate and schedule volunteer activities, ensuring proper coverage and support for events and programs.
Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through appreciation events and acknowledgment programs.
Donor Acquisition and Engagement:
Develop and implement strategies to identify, solicit, and engage new donors and prospects.
Conduct research to identify potential high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.
Create targeted outreach campaigns and materials to attract new donors and expand our donor base.
Organize and execute donor cultivation events and activities to build relationships and engage potential supporters.
Donor Relations and Retention:
Develop and execute stewardship plans to maintain and deepen relationships with current donors.
Implement strategies to increase donor retention rates, including personalized communication and recognition programs.
Manage a portfolio of major donors, providing regular updates on the impact of their contributions and opportunities for further involvement.
Handle donor inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor information and interactions in the donor management system.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices in donor record-keeping.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with the executive officers, board members, and volunteers to support fundraising efforts and achieve organizational goals.
Provide regular reports and updates on donor base development activities to senior management and stakeholders.
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy and goals of the organization.
Victim Advocacy:
Provide counseling, crisis intervention and other victim services to all designated victims of crime seeking services from Project HELP, including survivors of Sexual Assault.
Provide initial and follow up contact to all victims receiving services from Project HELP, including survivors of Sexual Assault.
Inform victim of their rights and explain the criminal justice system.
Provide criminal justice support and advocacy as required by the victim.
Accompany survivors to Forensic Exams to provide advocacy.
Maintain and provide all client statistical reports and information monthly.
Work within Project HELP’s Satellite offices maintaining positive relationships and performing all work duties in accordance to all agencies’ policies & procedures.
Be available to take rotating MOD/Oncall responsibilities outside of business hours. During this time advocates must be available to response 24 hours 7 days per week to assist with sudden death notifications and responses, sexual assault responses and any other victim related services as well as assist with remote coverage of 24/7 Crisis helpline as needed.
Assist with outreach, tabling, networking & presentation events as needed.
Administrative Duties:
Prepare and manage budgets for fundraising events and volunteer programs.
Maintain up-to-date records and reports on fundraising activities and volunteer engagement.
Assist with the development of promotional materials, including newsletters, social media content, and press releases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, volunteer coordination, or a related role.
Proven successful fundraising track record
Strong knowledge of fundraising techniques, donor relations, and event planning.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect) preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
