Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Fundraising Intern to support our organization’s fundraising efforts. The fundraising Organizerwill work directly with the director of Fundraising, Communications and software, and will play a key role in organizing and managing activities to raise funds for BEC. The role will provide the intern with hands-on experience in various aspects of fundraising, including donor research, grant writing, event planning, and donor stewardship. You will work closely with our fundraising team to help secure essential funding for our organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Donor Research: Conduct in-depth research on potential donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Grant Writing: Assist in the research, writing, and submission of grant proposals.
• Event Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and other special events.
• Donor Stewardship: Help maintain strong relationships with existing donors through personalized thank-you notes, newsletters, and other communications.
• Data Management: Assist in managing and updating donor records in our CRM
system.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and mailings.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace, Canva, EventBrite, Instagram, X, Facebook. LinkedIn, Squarespace, Zoom Events.
• A passion for our organization’s mission.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
EDUCATION:
Enrolled in a Degree program at a College or University and is returning to school in September 2025.
