About SYFC
Swiss Youth for Climate (SYFC) is a grassroots youth climate nonprofit established in 2015 to amplify the voice of Swiss youth in climate policy discussions. We are dedicated to raising awareness among young people about climate issues and advocating for ambitious climate policies at national and international levels, aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement. We strive to elevate youth voices and actively represent youth interests in key climate areas to drive meaningful change.
Role description
The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for:
- Overseeing SYFC's fundraising strategy and operations
- Developing and nurturing relationships with existing and potential donors
- Researching available grant opportunities to support SYFC's key projects and initiatives
- Writing, submitting, and managing grant applications
- Participating in board meetings to collaborate on organisational strategy
- Representing the organisation at nonprofit and networking events
Qualifications
Fluency in English is required as we typically work in English.
Additionally, for this role, it would be great to have some of the following:
- Working knowledge of German and/or French
- Proactivity and ability to work independently
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
- Experience in fundraising strategy development, grant writing, and donor engagement is an advantage (but not required)
Candidates should be willing to commit an average of 10 hours per month to this role.
