Position Summary:We’re seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Fundraising & Development Manager to join our small but passionate team. This is a contract role starting with a 6-month commitment, with the potential to grow into a longer-term opportunity. You’ll play a central role in identifying and cultivating relationships with individual major donors and corporate sponsors, and help design innovative strategies to drive support for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a fundraising strategy focused on major gifts and corporate sponsorships.
Research, identify, and build relationships with prospective donors and partners.
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing donors, ensuring consistent engagement and stewardship.
Use software like HubSpot, Bloomerang, Qgiv to update prospect profiles, create efficient workflows and provide internal development transparency.
Collaborate with the team on campaign ideas, events, and storytelling efforts that align with fundraising goals.
Track fundraising metrics and donor data, helping to build systems as we grow.
Be flexible and ready to take on additional development-related tasks in a growing startup nonprofit environment.
Who You Are:
Experienced in individual giving and/or corporate sponsorships, ideally with 3+ years of relevant fundraising experience.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Creative and resourceful with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Willingness to innovate and develop out-of-the box strategies.
Passionate about equity in media and the mission of supporting underrepresented voices in animation.
Bonus points for experience in the animation, arts, or entertainment sectors.
Compensation:This is a contract position, with a rate that scales based on experience and qualifications. We’re committed to fair and competitive pay and open to discussion during the interview process.
