Job Title: Development Coordinator
Reports to: ANF Executive Director
Position Description:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization’s fundraising and development efforts by assisting with donor relations, event planning, database management, and other administrative functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the development team and helps to advance the organization’s fundraising goals. The Development Coordinator will interact with donors, manage logistics for fundraising activities, and support the ANF in implementing the organization’s development strategy.
Key Responsibilities
· Donor Relations & Stewardship:
Assist in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors by preparing donor communications, acknowledgment letters, and thank-you notes.
Maintain and update donor records in the organization’s database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Respond to donor inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and support.
· Database Management:
Manage the donor database (e.g. Salsa) by entering, updating, and tracking donor information.
Generate and analyze donor reports to track fundraising progress and identify potential prospects.
Ensure data integrity and assist in implementing systems for effective record-keeping and reporting.
· Event Planning & Coordination:
Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and other special events.
Coordinate event logistics, such as venue selection, vendor communication, and volunteer management.
Assist in preparing event materials, including invitations, signage, and event programs.
· Grant Support:
Assist in identifying potential grant opportunities and gathering necessary information for proposals.
Help track grant deadlines and reporting requirements to ensure timely submissions.
· Communications & Marketing Support:
Assist in the development of fundraising collateral, including brochures, newsletters, and online campaigns.
Help manage social media for ANF/ ANI.
Support online fundraising campaigns through platforms such as email marketing or crowdfunding.
· Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to ANF Executive team.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for development-related meetings.
Assist with general office duties as needed, such as answering phones, filing, and processing mail.
Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
· Experience:
1-3 years of experience in fundraising, event planning, or administrative roles within a nonprofit organization.
Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) and basic fundraising practices.
· Skills & Competencies:
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing donor data and communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
