OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a talented and EXPERIENCED Fundraising and Development Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing fundraising efforts, managing donor relationships, and developing strategies to support the organization’s mission and growth.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in institutional advancement, marketing, accounting or other related degrees. Prior nonprofit fundraising experience with knowledge of annual funds and capital campaigns, establishing planned giving programs and overseeing a comprehensive marketing plan is REQUIRED. Experience managing finances in a business or nonprofit setting, as well as maintaining records for filing annual IRS 990 and audit. Must be able to work in a team environment and inspire staff through effective leadership. Competent in making presentations and public speaking. Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

Must have a complete and acceptable background check per the Department of Children’s Services form CS-0559, Authorization of Release of Information and HIPAA Protected Health Information TO and FROM the Department of Children’s Services and Notification of Release, or agency equivalent form.

The following documentation and background checks comprise a complete background check:

a) Criminal records check from local law enforcement records or county court records for all residences of employee within the immediate six (6) months preceding application for employment.

b) TBI/FBI fingerprint check.

c) Driving records check to include current valid driver license and a check of moving violations records in state of residency, if available.

d) National Sexual Offender Registry Clearance.

e) Tennessee Department of Health Abuse Registry Clearance.

f) DCS database records check submitted through either the TFACTS portal or filling out form CS-0741, Database Search Results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reports to the Executive Director and is evaluated annually by the Executive Director
Works jointly with the Executive Director to raise funds for activities for the residents.
Due to the 24/7 operations of a residential facility, the time of day of fundraising events, extended meetings, etc., the schedule will need to be flexible and may exceed (40) hours from time to time. As with all exempt positions in the organization, it is expected to invest the time necessary to complete the duties and responsibilities of the respective position.
This position is an in-office and street fundraising/canvassing position.
Ensures the financial viability of the organization by supervising the accounting and budgeting for My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services Inc.; monitors income and expenses and maintains adequate financial resources for the organization.
Maintain good standings with corporate credit card. The card will be individually issued in your name and is your responsibility.
Significantly enhance and diversify the revenue streams of My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services Inc. Develop and oversee fundraising by creating and implementing a detailed development & fundraising plan that includes new events, writing grants, cultivating new donors, and stewarding existing donors with the oversight of the Public Relations, Marketing, and Fundraising Committee. Design and implement strategic fundraising programs that incorporate individual, foundation, corporate, special events, and non-traditional fundraising sources. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Oversee the management of the donor database and all grant reporting requirements.
Develop and implement diverse, coordinated, strategic communications and marketing strategies, including developing content, identifying key opportunities, and ensuring mission and brand alignment.
Use all branded material on all communications.
Serves as My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services Inc.’s key spokesperson and visible ambassador to increase public awareness of the organization and its programs and services.
Recruit community volunteers and develop a strong volunteer program.
Manages all incoming volunteer calls.
Manage all donated items for residents and My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services Inc. by documenting items and confirming donor acknowledgement has been sent. This report is to be included in the monthly report to the Board of Directors.
Promote and manage inquiries with the Chef for the Night program.
Coordinate meals that are delivered by volunteers.
Coordinate a minimum of one large fundraising event annually for up to 500 patrons, which includes event planning, bringing in corporate sponsors and soliciting volunteers to help raise funds.
Interact and work collaboratively with all co-workers, volunteers, the Board of Directors and be able to work with diverse groups of people and the public.
Demonstrate success in building and cultivating relationships in the community that generate revenue for our mission-driven organization by attending Chamber of Commerce related events, local community events, and professional approaches by representing the organization. EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Capacity to think strategically and quickly identify viable funding opportunities while balancing competing priorities with limited resources.
Responsible for working with the Accounting & Database Manager to create a positive image in the community through effective communication tools such as websites, emails, press releases, newsletters, social media, and annual fund mailings.
Manage all social media sites associated with My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services Inc. with emphasis on maintaining and attracting donors, volunteers, activities, community involvement, and celebrating successes.
Document all activities and appointments on a shared calendar that can be viewed by all employees and the Board of Directors of My Friend’s House Family & Children’s Services.
Supports the Board of Directors and committees of the Board by assisting with the organization of meetings and keeping accurate records.
Adhere to all regulatory requirements associated with DCS, contracted agencies, etc.
Attend all monthly Board of Directors meetings.
Attend certain monthly Standing Committee meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
