Join SOWINS as a Fund Development Specialist focused on expanding fundraising efforts in South Okanagan. You will implement strategies for major gifts, donor relations, and community engagement.
In this regular full-time role, you will report to the Executive Director and collaborate with leadership, staff, and volunteers to enhance our fundraising initiatives. Your expertise in strategic relationship-building will be crucial for advancing our mission and expanding the organization’s community impact. Ensure the success of fundraising campaigns and manage key donor relationships for sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies
• Manage a portfolio of major donors and planned giving prospects
• Lead signature fundraising events and third-party initiatives
• Oversee fundraising performance and report on outcomes
• Supervise the Donor Relations & Support Services Administrator
Requirements:
• Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
• 5–7 years in a senior fundraising role
• Proven fundraising strategy development success
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
