About the Role:

As a front-line supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading a team of talented Direct Support Professionals and ensuring the highest quality services for program participants. This social service position requires a strong leader with supervision experience and knowledge and experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Title: Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Lead People: Supervise, train, and support a team of up to 15 direct support professionals. Conduct performance evaluations, set clear expectations, provide feedback, coach, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Create and manage staff schedules.

Lead Services: Oversee daily direct service activities, ensuring person-centered services are delivered effectively. Develop and implement individualized goals, schedules, and teaching strategies in collaboration with participants, families, and service providers. Communicate effectively with participants, families, representatives from funding agencies, and other service providers.

Direct Service: Providehands-ondirect service, as needed, including personal care. Share on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis to address participant/staff emergencies. This will include working evenings and weekends as needed. Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress through written reports and participate in individual planning meetings.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Related bachelor’s or master’s degree
Three years of experience in a human services delivery system
One year experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
One year experience with staff supervision

Ability to provide staff training, supervision, and planning
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
High level of trustworthiness, integrity, and dependability
Flexibility and a positive attitude

Other Requirements:

A solid progressive human services work history and professional references that can attest to your dependability and reliability
A vehicle, CA Driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record

Compensation and Benefits:

As a Top Workplace for five years running, we take our staff development and wellness seriously! This is a full-time (40+ hours/week) non-exempt position with a starting pay rate of $27.00 per hour, with the potential of earning a $1 per hour increase after completing our Career Jumpstart program.
