About the Role:
TCI Group is seeking a detail-oriented Front-End Developer to join our web development team for a public-facing municipal website project. The ideal candidate will bring experience in responsive web design, accessibility compliance, and close collaboration with UI/UX designers to bring wireframes to life.
Responsibilities:
Translate UI/UX designs into functional and accessible website components
Develop responsive, mobile-first layouts using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Ensure cross-browser compatibility (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox)
Collaborate with designers, content managers, and back-end developers
Optimize website performance and loading speed
Integrate visual and functional feedback from client and stakeholders
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ADA accessibility standards
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in front-end web development
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, or similar frameworks
Familiarity with CMS-based site structure and accessibility requirements
Strong understanding of web standards and UI responsiveness
Experience working with Git or other version control systems
Ability to communicate effectively with designers and project managers
Preferred:
Experience on government, nonprofit, or educational websites
Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or design-to-code workflows
