Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grant Writer and Fundraising Specialist residing in Texas to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, fundraising, and marketing, particularly within the non-profit sector in Texas. This role is essential for securing funding through well-crafted grant proposals, developing fundraising strategies, and effectively promoting our mission and programs to stakeholders. The Grant Writer will collaborate closely with various departments to gather necessary information, ensure compliance with grant requirements, and drive initiatives that enhance donor engagement and funding opportunities.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities, grant prospects, and donor networks within Texas.
Write compelling proposals that clearly communicate the organization’s mission, objectives, and project plans.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote fundraising campaigns and donor engagement.
Proofread and edit grant applications to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, fundraising activities, and outcomes in databases.
Prepare financial reports and budgets required by funding agencies.
Assist in fundraising efforts by crafting sponsorship proposals, donor outreach materials, and campaign strategies.
Manage contracts related to grants and fundraising agreements, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
Utilize Raiser’s Edge or similar software for tracking donor relationships, grant activities, and fundraising analytics.
Collaborate with team members on strategic planning initiatives related to funding, donor retention, and marketing.
Identify new opportunities for grants, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships to increase revenue streams.
Requirements
Applicants must be residents of Texas and have experience with Texas-based grant writing and fundraising initiatives.
Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, and marketing within a nonprofit or similar environment.
Familiarity with databases for tracking grants, fundraising activities, and donor relationships.
Strong skills in financial report writing, including budget preparation for grant and fundraising initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in fundraising strategies, including donor outreach, event planning, and sponsorship development.
Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge or similar donor management software is a plus.
Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of marketing strategies for fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and public relations is highly desirable.
