Job Description – Foundation, Director Donor Relations & Stewardship (250000PU)
Job Summary:
Under direction of the Executive Director, Sr. Director or Vice President of the TGH Foundation, the Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship develops creative and innovative programs & strategies for further execution to show impact and gratitude to all individuals, corporations and foundation donors. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values with Tampa General Hospital.
Responsibilities
Work with Advancement Operations to properly steward donors on a daily basis.
Partner with Major Gift Development team to construct stewardship and individual engagement plans for top level donors.
Facilitate and coordinate the provision of donor thank you gifts including framed patient artwork, unique pieces, and meaningful items.
Partner with communications on creation of service line and regional impact reports for major gift team and their donors.
Outline service line related content for funding priorities for collateral pieces, proposals and impact reports in collaboration with stewardship and donor relations director.
Oversee approval, finalization and installation of donor recognition pieces on campus including signage, unique items and digital walls.
Work with communications and major gift officers on donor nominations for donor awards and accolades.
Keep up to date on donor stewardship trends while creating and working on donor relations and stewardship strategic plan.
Work and travel as necessary to successfully meet established goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in fund development or sales.
An equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
This position requires a sophisticated and comprehensive understanding of fundraising best practices and a proven track record of successful leadership.
Experience with fundraising campaigns.
Broad development knowledge and experience in major gifts, planned giving, grants and annual funds.
Ability to plan strategically and manage multiple activities.
Excellent skills in verbal and written communications.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain positive relationships with donors, prospective donors, hospital and Foundation Board members and Foundation staff.
