Hope’s Closet is seeking a compassionate, organized, relationship-focused Foster Parent Support Manager to help recruit, equip, encourage, and retain foster families.
This position works closely with foster parents, prospective foster families, Butler County Children Services, volunteers, and community partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting children and families and enjoys building relationships, coordinating events, and connecting people with meaningful resources.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support foster parent recruitment efforts in partnership with Butler County Children Services and community partners.
Welcome and connect newly licensed foster families with Hope’s Closet programs and resources.
Coordinate programs designed to support and retain foster families, including:
- Monthly foster parent events
- CEU-approved trainings
- Family activities and appreciation events
- Foster parent recruitment events
Maintain ongoing communication and relationships with foster families.
Plan and coordinate events, including logistics, budgets, volunteers, attendance, and follow-up.
Build partnerships with churches, businesses, community organizations, donors, and sponsors.
Attend recruitment and retention meetings with Butler County Children Services.
Track program participation, manage program budgets, and submit monthly reports and statistics.
Collaborate with Hope’s Closet staff and volunteers to further the organization’s mission.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent phone communication skills and confidence initiating conversations and following up with prospective foster parents
Confident and professional on the phone, including making outbound recruitment and follow-up calls to prospective foster families and community partners.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and make people feel welcomed, supported, and connected
Excellent organizational, time-management, and event-planning abilities
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, volunteers, foster families, and community partners
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and other basic office and data-tracking tools
Comfortable using social media and digital communication platforms for outreach and engagement
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
Warm, compassionate, and relationship-focused approach
