Position: FOOD: Serve Meals at Safe Sleep Site
Dreams for Change oversees the City of San Diego’s safe sleep site which provides shelter and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Volunteers are needed to help the Dreams for Change staff set up, serve, and clean up meals for participants at the safe sleep site. This will free up staff to work with participants, providing support services, while volunteers serve meals.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire:Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade. Volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.
Bring:Water bottle
Physical Requirements:Prolonged standing, lifting of 20lbs, and no food allergies. Unfortunately, this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.
Weather:This opportunity is not canceled in the event of inclement weather. Meals are provided every day, rain or shine.
