Compensation for the Food Bank Warehouse Assistant
$19 Per Hour
Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm with occasional weekends

Responsibilities of the Food Bank Warehouse Assistant
Aid the day-to-day activities of all the non-profit’s service lines including but not limited to:
Food Bank, Diaper Bank, Clothing Bank, Emergency Assistance, and Homeless Outreach
Duties will be primarily Food Bank operations but may be asked to assist in other areas of the organization as needed
Drive a large truck and a smaller truck
Assist in any area that needs it – sometimes picking up or dropping off donations of food, inventory counts, inspecting food, sorting items, etc.
Handle intakes of donations and purchase orders
Work to distribute food to the public both at static and mobile sites
Help the volunteers stay on track with safety and find things to do
Requirements of the Food Bank Warehouse Assistant
High school Diploma or equivalent
Believe in the mission behind non-profits and have a passion for helping others
Ability to talk with folks from all walks of life
Maintain clear driver’s license, CDL preferable
Maintain forklift and vehicle proficiencies
Have obtained or the ability to obtain a forklift certification
Lift up to 50 pounds
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Previous lead experience preferred
