Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate / Flex Driver provides support in the daily operations of the warehouse, shipping, receiving, and transportation. This includes processing orders with volunteer groups and all aspects related to the receiving and shipping process, while also acting as a flex driver in support of transportation operations. This provides excellent internal and external customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping
Pulls orders, palletizes, shrink-wraps, and correctly labels orders for truck shipment or agency pick-up
Assists with the loading of delivery trucks
Responsible for the general upkeep of the Shipping/Receiving area and equipment, as well as reporting any equipment problems to the RFC Manager
Disposes of trash regularly as needed throughout the shift.
Enters agency orders in Ceres and correctly invoices agency orders in Ceres
All other duties as assigned
Receiving
Unloading of retail route and transport trucks
Assists in the safe and orderly storage of product within the warehouse
Rotates stock when receiving new inventory and assists with the processing and flow of product in the Reclamation Room
Inspects product for damages and discrepancies
Transportation
Picks up and delivers product as needed.
Regularly communicates with the Director of Transportation about transportation scheduling and needed fleet maintenance.
Executes all safety protocols related to the operation of LCFB vehicles
Safety:
Follows food safety standards as established by the LCFB
Follows all safety protocols related to the warehouse and operation of LCFB equipment and trucks
Job Requirements
Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
High School Diploma and/or GED required
Reliable transportation is necessary
Four years of experience in warehouse operations and customer service
Resourceful approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, handle interruptions, and maintain focus on the task of producing quality work
Strong customer service focus
Ability to learn and adapt to new software technologies
Ability to complete pallet jack and forklift certification
Ability to communicate effectively to diverse groups both verbally and in writing
Must be willing to undergo random drug screening and DOT physical examination
