POSITION: Finance Director, 12 month position
HOURS: Full-Time
PAY RANGE: $55,000 – $65,000, depends on experience and education level
MIN EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years
MIN EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar field
JOB SUMMARY: Manages all financial aspects of the school. As a member of the finance committee, makes recommendations regarding budget, insurance, taxes, and vendors. This person shall be a person of spiritual maturity and shall reflect the purpose of the school at all times.

Will serve as a Christian role model both in and out of school to students and parents
Regular attendance and participation in a local church
Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism
Defend principles and conviction in the face of pressure and partisan influence
Possess customer service and public relations skills as this position will interact with families, vendors, and employees
Have knowledge of office procedures and methods
Have knowledge and understanding of the business side of a nonprofit organization
Have 2-3 years bookkeeping & budgeting experience
Demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy, having a basic proficiency in word processing, accounting software, spreadsheets, e-mailing, managing databases, and accessing the Internet
Experience in QuickBooks and Excel
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee maintenance of all financial records and financial dealings of the school including budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, insurance, vendors, etc.
Manage all aspects of tuition and tuition payment plans.
Maintain and manage all vendor, tax, asset, agreements, and banking files.
Direct and manage all property or business donations to the school maintaining an effective record and acknowledgement system of the donations in conjunction with the Development Office.
Fundraising: track and/or verify the detailed data results of all fundraising efforts alongside the Development Office.
Manage and monitor department financial activities and/or delegate as desired (camps, private tutoring, etc.).
Collect and Track Field Trip monies, provide related payments as requested.
Lead all audit related work, including journal entries and/or reporting.
Monitor all bank accounts and/or credit/debit cards.
Make and/or delegate, all deposits and/or bank withdrawals.
Manage delinquent receivables collection.
Complete payroll by pay period, manage and maintain payroll data, working closely with CPA.
Provide all monthly and/or weekly financial reports as directed by the Finance Committee and Head of School.
Prepare, in collaboration with the Head of School, the annual income and expense budgets for board approval.
Work with department heads to modify, correct, update department budgets.
Advise the school administration and school board of actual spending compared to budget.
Prepare long-term budget projections to assist the school board and the administration in long-term planning for the school.
Keep current on IRS regulations, and effectively implement them working closely with CPA.
Have final responsibility for the preparation of quarterly and annual IRS and state forms.
Provide receipts to all donors as required along with W2s and 1099s.
Support the broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when possible.
All miscellaneous duties as assigned.
